Anonymous - Astronomic Watch An extremely rare, double-sided pocket watch with a full calendar, astronomical displays, and a visible balance wheel Dimensions: 59 mm, circa 1830, Weight: 139 g, Origin: France Case: Silver, traces of gilding. Dial: Front – enamel, chapter rings indicating hours and minutes, small seconds, signs of the zodiac, months and their lengths, date, season, moon phase, day of the week, and corresponding planet. Back – enamel, power reserve indicator, visible balance beneath an artfully decorated balance bridge. Red inscription on the rim: "le temps quand il est passe il ne revient plus mettons à profit" (Time, once it has passed, never returns—so let us make the most of it). Movement: Full-plate movement, chain/fusee, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance. Case: very good. Dial: good, with hairline scratches. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
