It was originally purchased on August 9, 1990. The Rolex Day-Date is one of those rare wristwatches that never cease to surprise the market with their almost endless combinations of case and dial variations. This reference 18248 features one of the most popular and rare dial types: a shimmering ferrite stone in varying shades of gray. Ferrite is a ceramic alloy with a striking, almost meteorite-like reflectivity that gives the dial an exceptionally graphic appearance. The bark-finish bezel features fine cross-hatching and rectangular hour markers that harmonize perfectly with the applied Roman numerals on the dial. This textured pattern is echoed in the center links of the gold Rolex President bracelet, further enhancing its appeal. Inside the watch beats the Rolex Caliber 3155, equipped with a double quick-set mechanism for rapid adjustment of both the day and date. Case: very good, slightly worn. Dial: very good. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
