Patek Philippe - Nautilus A very rare Geneva steel wristwatch from the transitional series, featuring the Geneva Seal, central seconds, and a date display. The watch underwent a full service at Patek Philippe through Wempe in Leipzig in February 2026 Movm. No. 3981558, Ref. 5711/1A-001, Cal. 324 SC AIG 1, Case No. 4946620, Dimensions 42 x 44 mm, circa 2009, Origin: Switzerland, Original box, Original certificate, Accessories Case: Steel, glazed screw-down back, screw-down winding crown, Patek Philippe steel bracelet with double deployant clasp, total length 195 mm. Dial: Black with marine-blue iridescence, bar-like texture. Movement: Automatic. Reference 5711 was launched in 2006 to mark the 30th anniversary. While the watch retains the traditional aesthetic design of the “Jumbo Nautilus,” several new features have been added—the model now features a central seconds hand, a date window, and a crystal caseback that reveals the in-house automatic caliber. This Nautilus Reference 5711 is part of a series of transitional models produced from 2007 to 2009, still bearing the Geneva Seal on the movement instead of the Patek Philippe Seal that the manufacturer introduced in 2009. In 2006, the first reference 5711 models were still equipped with the automatic caliber 315 SC, which was replaced in 2007 by the more modern 324 SC caliber, featuring a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and other updates. The defining feature of this timepiece is the flat, 8-mm-high stainless-steel case, with the rounded octagonal bezel and the lateral case elements characteristic of the Nautilus. The bezel features a vertical satin-finished pattern. Polished bevels and satin-brushed surfaces create the distinctive contrast between the case and the integrated steel bracelet. The bracelet has satin-brushed outer links, polished center links, and a stainless-steel folding clasp. The design is dominated by the dial—which was replaced as part of the service—with its signature embossed horizontal relief pattern, which reveals different nuances depending on the light. Its color gradient transitions from deep blue at the center to black at the outer edge. Applied white-gold hour markers filled with luminous material, white-gold hands, and the discreet date display at 3 o’clock create a well-balanced layout with exceptional readability. The Nautilus reference 5711/1A-001 is a watch with a distinctive design that effortlessly combines high-end watchmaking craftsmanship with sporty elegance—an exceptional timepiece, unworn and retaining razor-sharp edges. It comes as a complete set with the original box, original certificate, leather pouch, and operating instructions. Case: like new. Dial: like new, later original; hands: later original. Movement: like new, in working order. Please note that leather straps made from endangered or protected species—such as alligator, crocodile, or lizard—are used in our catalog or on our website for illustrative purposes only. For customs-related reasons, such straps cannot be shipped outside the EU.
