A. Lange & Söhne - GROSSE 1815 An elegant Glashütte wristwatch, limited to 500 pieces in platinum. This is the highest limited edition ever sold by A. Lange & Söhne and has so far been produced for only two models: the GROSSE 1815 and the LANGEMATIK ANNIVERSARY (Ref. 203.025). In the case of the GROSSE 1815, only the platinum model was produced in a limited edition Movm. No. 78302, Ref. 233.025, Cal. L051.1, Case No. 185010, Dimensions 40 mm, circa 2010, Limited 055/500, Origin: Germany, Original box, Original certificate, Accessories, original platinum clasp Case: Platinum, screwed-on sapphire crystal caseback, edition serial number on the caseback, platinum deployant clasp. Dial: Solid silver, rhodium-plated. Movement: Manual-winding. The A. Lange & Söhne GROSSE 1815 (GRAND 1815), reference 233.025, combines traditional Glashütte watchmaking with timeless elegance. Produced in 2009 as a limited edition of only 500 pieces, the model features a 40-mm platinum case. Its solid silver dial, adorned with black lacquered Breguet numerals, a railway-track minute scale, and white-gold Alpha hands, gives the watch a particularly understated and refined presence. The collection’s name refers to 1815, the year of birth of Ferdinand Adolph Lange, the founder of fine watchmaking in Glashütte. The hand-wound movement faithfully upholds this tradition: a three-quarter plate made of untreated nickel silver, screw-mounted gold chatons, blued screws, a swan-neck fine adjustment, and a hand-engraved balance cock—all hallmarks of highly skilled, tradition-bound craftsmanship. With a power reserve of 55 hours, reference 233.025 combines traditional Saxon watchmaking with the exquisite aesthetics of a modern dress watch. Case: very good, worn. Dial: very good. Movement: very good, in working order, cleaning recommended.
