Joseph Nees Sehr seltene Figur "Cellospieler". Joseph Nees für Ludwigsburg. Entwurf 1764/1767. Joseph Nees 1730 unbekannt – 1778 ebenda Johann Christian Wilhelm Beyer 1725 Gotha – 1796 Hietzing Porzellanmanufaktur Ludwigsburg 1758 Ludwigsburg – 2016 ebenda Richard Seyffarth 1906 Worms – 1985 Dresden , in polychromen Aufglasurfarben staffiert. Unterseitig die Doppel-C-Marke in Unterglasurblau sowie in Aufglasurpurpur die Buchstaben "L" und "I". Zudem geprägt die Nummer "52" und "3'' A'' M". Provenienz: Nachlass Sammlung Richard Seyffarth, Dresden. In den 1760er Jahren entstanden mehrere Entwürfe der sog. "Serie der großen Musiksoli". Neben Johann Christian Wilhelm Beyer, der auch größere Modelle schuf, schufen etwa Johann Christoph Haselmeyer oder Joseph Nees kleinere Varianten, wie das hier belegte Exemplar. Ein sehr vergleichbares Beispiel einer solchen kleineren Ausführung ist abgebildet in: Hans Dieter Flach: Ludwigsburger Porzellan: Fayence, Steingut, Kacheln, Fliesen; ein Handbuch. Stuttgart 1997. S. 545, KatNr. 331. Vgl. zudem ein Exemplar in der Rhode Island School of Design Museum, Providence, USA (dort ohne Maßangabe). Zu den Musiksoli vgl. Hans Christ: Ludwigsburger Porzellanfiguren. Stuttgart/Berlin 1921. S. 56. Maße: H. 12 cm, B. 12 cm. Joseph Nees 1730 unbekannt – 1778 ebenda Porzellanmaler der Manufaktur Ludwigsburg. Wohl Ausbildung in der Künersberger Fayencemanufaktur. Ab 1758 in Ellwangen tätig, später für die Ludwigsburger Manufaktur. Vor allem für seine Tänzerfiguren bekannt.
