"Modedame". Paul Scheurich für Nymphenburg. 1916. Ausformungszeitraum wohl um 1916. Paul Scheurich 1883 New York City – 1945 Brandenburg an der Havel Porzellanmanufaktur Nymphenburg 1747 Neudeck bei München Porcelain, glazed, sparsam in polychromen Aufglasurfarben staffiert. Unterseits mit der geprägten Schildmarke, geprägter Modell-Nr. "547" sowie geritzter Nr. "3" und einer undeutlichen Nr. Verso nochmals die geprägte Schildmarke, darüber mit einem geprägten Schriftzug (undeutlich). Maße: H. 22 cm. Paul Scheurich 1883 New York City – 1945 Brandenburg an der Havel Paul Scheurich war Maler, Kleinplastiker, Grafiker, Zeichner u. Bühnenbildner. Um 1912 gewann ihn Max Adolf Pfeiffer für die Schwarzburger Werkstätten, von 1918 bis 1936 Exklusivvertrag und Professur an der Porzellanmanufaktur Meissen. 1919 erstmalige Publikation einer Zeichnung im Simplicissimus, für welchen er von 1931–38 mehr als 100 Arbeiten lieferte. 1937 Teilnahme an der Weltausstellung in Paris. Er gehört zweifelsohne zu den bedeutendsten Porzellanplastikern in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts.
