Reinhold Langner, Bildnis Jan Krüger. 1937. Reinhold Langner 1905 Weinböhla – 1957 Dresden Rudolf Oskar Krüger 1903 Dresden – 1961 Köln , gefirnist. Unsigniert. Auf einem braun gefassten, ovalen Holzsockel montiert. Provenienz: Nachlass Rudolf Krüger. Geschenk Reinhold Langners an Rudolf Krüger zur Geburt dessen Sohnes Jan. Maße: H. 18 cm, H. mit Sockel 23,5 cm. Reinhold Langner 1905 Weinböhla – 1957 Dresden Zunächst Lehre als Maurer in der Absicht, Architekt zu werden. Anschließend Holzbildhauerlehre. 1925–33 Studium und Assistenz an der Kunstgewerbeakademie bei Professor Arthur Winde. 1929 Reisen nach Finnland, Schweden sowie 1930 nach Italien, Spanien, Nordafrika und Südfrankreich. 1933 erfolgte der Verweis von der Hochschule aus politischen Gründen. 1943–45 Lehrer für Holzarbeiten in der Abteilung Kunsterziehung der Dresdner Kunsthochschule. 1947/48 Professor für Bildhauerei ebenda. Ab 1951 Leiter des staatlichen Volkskunstmuseums Dresden und verantwortlich für Wiederaufbau und Neueinrichtung der Sammlung.
