Helmut Schmidt-Kirstein "Frau im Garten". 1973. Helmut Schmidt-Kirstein 1909 Aue – 1985 Dresden Watercolour und schwarze Kreide auf gelblichem Büttenkarton. Signiert und datiert "Kirstein 73" u.li. Maße: 36,5 x 51 cm. Helmut Schmidt-Kirstein 1909 Aue – 1985 Dresden 1929–33 Studium an der Kunstgewerbeakademie und der TH Dresden sowie ab 1930 Studium der Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Wien. 1934–36 Fachlehrer für dekorative Berufe. 1940 Einberufung zum Militär. Nach 1945 freischaffend in Dresden, Mitglied der Künstlergruppe "Der Ruf". Seit 1952 Hinwendung zum abstrakten Arbeiten. Ab 1955 Atelier im Künstlerhaus Dresden-Loschwitz.
