Peter Graf 1937 in Crimmitschau – lebt in Radebeul 1952 Übersiedlung mit seiner Mutter nach Dresden.1956–57 Studium an der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee. Seit 1957 künstlerische Arbeit im Freundeskreis um Jürgen Böttcher (Strawalde) mit Peter Herrmann, Peter Makolies, Winfried Dierske und Ralf Winkler (A.R. Penck). Mitglied der Künstlergruppe Erste Phalanx Nedserd. Ab 1957 wieder in Dresden wohnhaft. 1970–97 Ausstellungen u.a. in Dresden, Chemnitz, Konstanz, Cuxhaven und Volterra / Italien. Zahlreiche Preise und Ehrungen: 1999 Bautzener Kunstpreis, 2000 Egmont-Schaefer-Preis für Zeichnungen, 2001 Hans-Theo-Richter-Preis der Sächsischen Akademie der Künste, 2007 Kunstpreis der Großen Kreisstadt Radebeul.
