Auf Untersatzkarton montiert. WVZ Jentsch H 112, Söhn HDO 52003–4. Maße: Stk. 33,5 x 35,5 cm, Bl. 36,8 x 45 cm. Richard Seewald 1889 Arnswalde – 1976 München Seewald studierte Architektur an der Technischen Hochschule in München. Als Maler war er Autodidakt. 1909 begann er in München zu malen und wurde 1918 Mitglied der Neuen Sezession. Er unternahm u.a. Reisen nach Südfrankreich, Italien und Griechenland. 1924/31 wurde er Professor an der Meisterschule für gestaltendes Handwerk in Köln. Seit 1939 war er Schweizer Bürger. 1953 arbeitete Seewald erneut als Dozent an der Münchner Akademie.
