Friedrich Iwan, Sommer an der Schneekoppe. Wohl 1920er/1930''s. Friedrich Iwan 1889 Landeshut, Niederschlesien – 1967 Wangen im Allgäu Etching und Aquatinta in Grüngrau. U.re. in Blei signiert "Fried. Iwan". Hinter Glas in einer einfachen, grauen Leiste gerahmt. Verso mit dem Etikett der Glaserei. Maße: Pl. 10 x 14 cm, Ra. 19,2 x 24 cm. Friedrich Iwan 1889 Landeshut, Niederschlesien – 1967 Wangen im Allgäu Deutscher Maler und Grafiker. In den Jahren 1903 bis 1908 studierte er an der Königlichen Kunst- und Kunstgewerbeschule (ab 1911 Kunstakademie) zu Breslau bei Carl Ernst Morgenstern. Später studierte er grafische Techniken bei Hans Mayer an der Kunstakademie Berlin. Im Jahr 1921 zog er nach Krummhübel (Riesengebirge, Niederschlesien), ab 1924 lebte er bis 1945 in Hirschberg. Er machte durch seine eigenwillige Radiertechnik auf sich aufmerksam, bei der er Stahl, Feder und Farbe verwandte. Besonders seine Radierungen mit Riesengebirgs-Motiven und hier speziell seine Wintermotive haben ihn beliebt gemacht, so dass seine Motive auch als Postkarten eine starke Verbreitung fanden. Bekannt war er auch für seine Exlibris-Entwürfe.
