Hartwig Ebersbach 1940 Zwickau – lebt in Leipzig 1959–64 Studium an der Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig bei Bernhard Heisig. 1964–79 Tätigkeit als freier Messe- und Ausstellungsgestalter. 1973 erste Einzelausstellung, gemeinsam mit seinem Bruder Wolfram Ebersbach. 1978 Beginn der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Komponisten Friedrich Schenker. 1979 Reise nach Westeuropa zur Kunstmesse in Basel. 1979–83 Lehrtätigkeit für experimentelle Kunst an der Leipziger Hochschule. 1981–83 Mitglied der Künstlergruppe "37,2". 1982 Ausstellung im Lindenau-Museum Altenburg. 1988–89 Reisen und Ausstellungen in den USA und in Japan. 1992 Studienaufenthalt in Südafrika. Gründungsmitglied der Freien Akademie der Künste in Leipzig. Seit 1997 Reisen nach China, Australien und Südtirol.
