Jens Cords, Komposition mit Schwüngen. 1961. Jens Cords 1932 Hamburg Oil on fibreboard. Verso signiert und datiert "Jens Cords 61.". In einer einfachen, aufgenagelten Leiste gerahmt. Maße: 70 x 90 cm, Ra. 71,5 x 91,5 cm. Jens Cords 1932 Hamburg 1949–51 Lehre als Schrift- und Schildermaler. 1953–57 Studium an der HBK Hamburg, 1956/57 Meisterschüler bei Willi Tietze. Seitdem freischaffend tätig. Cords erhielt verschiedene Stipendien. 1958 Lehrauftrag an der Volkshochschule in Göhrde, 1963–96 Dozent an der Volkshochschule Hamburg. 1968–76 Illustrator beim Deutschen Allgemeinen Sonntagsblatt (Hamburg). Die frühen Arbeiten reichen von der nonfigurativen Malerei bis zum Informel, ab 1964 wendet er sich dem Gegenständlichen und einer fotorealistischen Auffassung zu.
