Maße: 60 x 45 cm, Ra. 65,5 x 50,5 cm. Robert Ernest Roe 1852 Cambridge (?) – 1921 ? Sohn des schottisch-britischen Künstlers Robert Henry Roe (1823 Needham Market–1905 Cambridge). Er war mit Wohn- und Atelieradressen in London und Cambridge registriert, verbrachte aber einen Großteil seines Lebens an der Nordostküste Englands, darunter Scarborough, Whitby und Staithes. Robert Ernest Roe stellte vier Werke in der Suffolk Street aus, darunter "Scarborough Castle" und "Stone Point, Walton-on-Naze". Heute sind seine Werke in der Scarborough Art Gallery, der Mercer Gallery in Harrogate sowie im Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens zu sehen.
