Thomas Leitner 1876 Altmünster – 1948 Wien Signiert "Th. Leitner" und datiert u.re. Verso mit Namensstempelungen und einem verblasst bezeichneten Etikett auf dem Keilrahmen. In einer goldfarbenen Profilleiste gerahmt. Provenienz: Sächsischer Privatbesitz, vormals Besitz Elisabeth Adamek, Wien. Maße: 100 x 70 cm, Ra. 113 x 83 cm. Thomas Leitner 1876 Altmünster – 1948 Wien Ab 1893 Studium an der Wiener Akademie unter Franz Rumpler. 1905– 1906 Erhalt des Rompreises und Reise nach Italien und Dalmatien. 1908 Mitgliedschaft im Wiener Künstlerhaus. 1916–1918 als Kriegsmaler tätig. 1911 Übersiedlung nach seiner Wahlheimat Waidhofen an der Thaya. Seine Gemälde wurden auch von Kaiser Franz Josef und von Kaiser Karl erworben. U.a. sind seine Werke im Belvedere in Wien und im Niederösterreichischen Landesmuseum zu sehen.
