Provenienz: Privatsammlung Dresden; Kunsthandel Pakzad, Hannover, 1975. Abgebildet in: Europäische Malerei verschiedener Epochen. Ölgemälde-Aquarelle-Grafik-Zeichnung. Dr. Amir Pakzad Abt. Kunsthandel, Hannover 1972, S. 16. Maße: 58 x 67 cm, Ra. 69,5 x 78 cm. Conrad Geßner 1764 Zürich – 1826 ebenda Erster Unterricht bei seinem Vater Heinrich Wuest. Später an der Dresdner Kunstakademie bei Adrian Zingg und Johann Christian Klengel. 1788/89 in Rom und Neapel. Ab 1799 Mitglied der Züricher Künstlergemeinschaft. 1799–1803 in London, Hinwendung zu Drucktechniken, u.a. "Darstellungen der vorzüglichsten Truppen Europas".
