Salomon Koninck "Der Eremit", Öl auf Leinwand, 121 x 93,5 cm, 1643, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Gal.-Nr. 1589. Maße: 100 x 78,5 cm, Ra. 110 x 87 cm. Salomon Koninck 1609 Amsterdam – 1656 ebenda Sohn eines Goldschmiedes aus Antwerpen und Schüler von Pieter Lastman, David Colijns, François Venant und Claes Corneliszoon Moeyaert. Seit 1630 Mitglied der Malergilde (Lukasgilde) zu Amsterdam. Er hatte sich bei Rembrandt gebildet, in dessen Weise er Porträts und Historienbilder malte.
