Madrid: Acosta of the Brotherhood of Saint Gregory, 1723. 2 vols. in large 8º. Vol. I: 6 leaves, including the two-color title page with a chalcographic engraving + 352 pp. + 2 leaves. Vol. II: 370 pp. + 2 leaves. (pp. 131–132 missing). With the two-color title page. Both volumes illustrated with chalcographic engravings in the text. Two-column layout, narrow margins, the top margin particularly tight. Shows signs of rust and marginal water stains, which, although they do not affect the text, have made the corners and margins fragile. Moisture stains and traces of rust along the margins. Two vols. bound in period parchment, spines labeled, edges painted, slightly warped. Ex-libris by the Venezuelan writer Arturo Uslar Pietri. Palau 52005 states that it reproduces the 1714 edition, with all 35 engravings. CCPB 318084-0 and 318085-9. An edition that rarely appears on the market.
