Lérida: by Antonio de Robles, printer to the University, 1598. 12º. 5 h. + 77 fol. Typographic engraving on the title page. Bound in recent, stiff parchment, gilt edges, labeled spine. A cleaned and well-restored copy; the corners of the last few leaves are damaged, but the text block is unaffected. The work is peppered with anecdotes that shed light on the literary possibilities of madness, a theme that Cervantes masterfully explored and captured in his famous *Don Quixote* a few years later. According to CCPB 8075-0, there are 5 copies in public libraries.
