Two vols. bound in half-leather, with corner caps, double title labels, and painted top edges. The work recounts the life of the British man who joined the revolution of the South American republics, fought for Chilean independence, and crossed the Andes to join the struggle for independence in Peru. Written by his brother John, based on the general’s own notes and letters.
