Vol. II: 2 folios + 476 pp. and a folded map. III: 2 folios + a folded map of Paraguay + 407 pages. IV: 2 folios + a folded map of the Río de la Plata + 414 pages + 1 folio. V: 2 leaves + 461 pp. + 1 leaf. VI: 2 leaves + 460 pp. and 3 folded maps. The map of South America, which should be in the first volume, is missing. Stains from moisture on the edges. Six volumes bound in full leather, with double title labels, well-set spines; the first volume has a marbled edge, while the rest are painted. Some plans are scuffed with peeling or minor damage. This is the finest work on the ancient history of Paraguay, and its author was considered the greatest historian of the Missions at the time, highly regarded for his precision and accuracy.
