THIS VOLUME CONTAINS THREE SETS OF VERSES IN PRAISE OF THE BIRTH OF CHRIST, AND THESE FIRST ONES ARE A PARODY OF THOSE KNOWN AS “HAY DELA ÑIGUIRI ÑIGUI.” Unknown place, unpublished, no date. 4 leaves; two printed with the text in two columns in Gothic typeface. Three woodcut blocks, with a depiction of the manger in the center and a shepherd on each side. Very fine laid paper, with spots; printing without woodcut marks. Bound in full leather, with thread and dried metal clasps. CCPB cites two copies with different references: CCPB 29663-5 (1983) and CCPB 699615-9 (1952), but in both cases gives the date of printing as the 20th century and suggests the edition was produced in Cieza. Palau dates the original to around 1540.
