Facsimile volume bound in full leather, with raised bands and gilt spines on both sides, presented in a leather slipcase. Some slight marks on the back cover. A numbered edition of 987 copies, with a notarial deed. This manuscript occupies a key place in the history of Central European painting. Usuardo’s Martyrology traveled a long journey before arriving in Girona, its current location. It originated in Prague, at the court of Wenceslaus IV, King of Bohemia and Emperor, from where it traveled to Austria, Moravia, and Hungary, as well as Rome and even Madrid. It is unanimously considered the most sumptuous work of International Gothic art. Includes the study guide.
