Bound in half-parchment, cloth endpapers, label, gilded Miquel y Planas superlibris, and his ex-libris on the inside front cover. [More:] ID.: [MODERN BOOKBINDING] A small folio volume containing 42 plates numbered in pencil, depicting bookbindings printed on thread-bound paper and superimposed, one on each sheet (except for the first 7, which are inserted). These belong to the work *Modern Bookbindings*; it appears to be a proof copy used in preparation for the edition, which ultimately contained 40 plates, not 42 as found here. Bound in half-cloth, with water-soluble paper cardboard endpapers. Palau 171386.
