Valencia: Juan Joffre, 1521. Large 4º. 8 h. + CLI folios in two columns of 43 lines, in Gothic type. Sign. 8 h., A8-Q8, R6-S6, T12. Each section features a decorated woodcut border. The title page has a two-color architectural woodcut engraving; the text includes marginal notes. It contains two-color architectural engravings on folios CXLI and CXLII, as well as several woodcut engravings and woodcut capitals. Between folios T4 and T5 there is a blank page, which has been restored but does not bear the restoration work found on the margins of the folios preceding and following it; on those margins, the watermark depicting a hand holding a flower has been traced in ink. Bound in modern parchment, with the spine labeled; at the bottom, there are tiny drill holes, gilded edges, and some leaves with shortened upper margins. Palau 143788: “This text is not the genuine Catalan version. It is what the Italians call a rifacimento, carried out by Mosen Juan Bonllabi, a native of Rocafort de Queralt. Three codices of this ancient text are known to exist.” It is rare to find complete editions in such excellent condition.
