AIR FRANCE Personal letter from pilot-navigator Frédéric ADAM, Dakar, July 8, 1934, to Jean MERMOZ; 1 page, in-4 format, on Air France letterhead. He was disappointed by Mermoz’s return to Natal, “because I was counting on you being able to push on to Dakar, where St. Louis […] I’m expecting you next week with even more confidence, if that’s possible!”… He is overseeing the construction of the runways in Thiès, Senegal, and provides details about them. “We’ve been told that the Croix du Sud is scheduled to fly the Fram on July 15 or 23, but so far there have been no specific orders.
