Two wooden panels joined together with two nailed-on back sponki (missing). Egg tempera on a chalk ground, gold ground, halos stamped. 97 x 67 cm. Christ is enthroned on a richly decorated throne with winged angel heads. He is clothed in a richly decorated robe that identifies him as both High Priest and King. An icon executed in an extremely detailed style and in very good condition. Margins minimally restored.
