A RARE GIANT BELGIAN CAPLOCK FOR A WALL GUN, EARLY 19TH CENTURY A very large caplock mechanism for a wall gun, a type of large firearm that would be mounted on a defensive structure for use against attacking forces. This particular example was made by 'Jacques Ancion et Compagnie a Liège', an arms manufacturer based in Liège, Belgium during the 19th century, their name is stamped at the center of the lockplate. The mechanisms all seem to function well. Liège, Belgium, Early 19th Century. Dimensions: L: 11 1/2 in., (29.2 cm.)
