The obverse depicts the coat of arms of Belize with the national motto "SUB UMBRA FLOREO," surrounded by the inscriptions "BELIZE," "500/1000 FINE GOLD" and "ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS." The reverse features the Star of Bethlehem surrounded by flowering plants, with the date "1979" on a ribbon below. Gold .500. Weight: 6.21 g. Actual gold weight: 0.0998 troy oz.
