A LOT OF 3 FRENCH MILITARY LITHOGRAPHS DEPICTING SOLDIERS IN UNIFORM, FEBRUARY REVOLUTION, CRIMEAN WAR, VENERIE IMPERIALE, 19TH CEN. A group of 3 lithographs depicting French servicemen. The first shows the Garde-Mobile, formed in 1848 to help suppress the revolution in Paris, seen here relaxing in the city. The second shows a soldier labeled Chasseurs de Vincennes, one of the Chasseurs a Pied who fought in the Crimean War. The last shows both a mounted and unmounted member of the Venerie Imperiale, the group of men who would accompany the King or Emperor on the hunt. All lithographs were produced in France during the 19th century. Dimensions: Largest: 13 1/4 x 18 1/4 in., (33.7 x 46.4 cm.) Condition: Very good, with light foxing consistent with age. Some possible moisture marking to corner of garde-mobile litho, does not affect picture. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
