1882-1884 (MILITARY) THE WAR IN EGYPT, VICTORIAN ILLUSTRATED NEWSPAPERS A collection of dozens of illustrated newspapers from Victorian England concerning the British Conquest of Egypt, also known as the 2nd Anglo-Egyptian War, including hundreds of scenes of battles and sieges, on land and at sea, such as the famed Battle of Tel El Kebir and the Bombardment of Alexandria. Present in this compilation are the 'London Illustrated News', 'United Service Gazette', and 'The Pictorial World', among others. England, United Kingdom, c. 1882-1884. Dimensions: 16 x 12 in., (40.6 x 30.5 cm.) Condition: News papers with expected foxing for age. A few slightly loose but still attached, most tight to binding. Spine worn off and boards slightly loose, but still attached. Boards stained and scuffed. Please make all inquiries before bidding.
