Large folio. Contemporary green half-leather binding with gilt tooling (corners bumped, edges rubbed). Blackmer 928; Brunet III, 714; Quérard IV, 343: 'This work deserves special attention because of its fine execution.' An attempt was made to present facsimiles of the vases as far as possible, with all the colors and figures that can be seen on these precious pieces. The Count of Lamberg amassed a remarkable collection of about 500 vases. Wide-rimmed copy. Front inner hinge slightly cracked, text partly slightly foxed, plates (thanks to protective silk sleeves) partly slightly foxed (mostly only on the white margin). Crowned bookplate on a mirror.
