Flügel-Adjutant (aide-de-camp) spiked helmet, patent leather helmet, nickel silver fittings including the stars at the base of the spike, large frontal eagle of the Guard with an enameled center and the motto "SUM CUIQUE," square visor, flat-scale chinstraps in gilded brass with silver studs, Reich and Prussian cockades, full-dress Haarbusch made of white yak hair, satin liner (showing wear), brown leather headband, not re-pierced. Slight dent in the helmet shell at the junction of the rear band and the base of the peak; small tear in the leather along the rear edge. ABE The square visor and traces of the plate having been reattached indicate that this helmet was modified at the time to suit its owner’s assignments.
