The Tailliez volume exhibits significant chipping, losses to the spine ends, and rubbing to the dust jacket. The Cousteau volume contains a heavily damaged dust jacket with extensive losses, large tears, and old adhesive tape repairs. The bindings and interior pages of all three volumes show moderate age-toning but remain intact.
