GOLD POUCH Presumed fine white and red gemstones A large pouch made of fine, supple gold chain mail; the rectangular clasp with an Amati-style back is adorned with alternating white and red gemstones, presumed to be fine; the closure features two bead-shaped push buttons. 18-karat yellow gold (750 ‰). French craftsmanship intended for export: hallmark featuring the head of Mercury; hallmark featuring the head of a hare, indicating reimportation into France. Circa 1900. Gross weight: 65.1 g.
