762 - ÈMILE GALLÈ “Notable Spherical Vase with Dragonfly and Water Lilies” Nancy, ca. 1900–1904. Colorless glass with yellowish-green and bluish underglaze. Overlay in dark brown glass. Spherical body with a tapered mouth. Deep-etched and engraved relief decoration: a large, three-dimensionally rendered dragonfly in flight above a river landscape with lotus leaves and aquatic plants. Etched signature on the side: Gallé. H: 18 cm. The rim appears to have been trimmed and restored; minimal age-related scratches on the base. Otherwise in fine condition with a pronounced sense of depth in the layers.
