Art Nouveau in silk. The three beautiful seasons: spring, summer, fall. Silk weaving, three panels, each 20 × 14 cm. France, ca. 1910. The adaptation of artwork onto textile surfaces is not uncommon; see the catalog for the Alfons Mucha exhibition at Mathildenhöhe, Darmstadt, 1980, p. 152, though only prints are mentioned there. More elaborate than the printed fabric images are the silk weavings presented here, which require a high degree of skill to be rendered in textile form.
Delivery is optional. You can use the carrier of your choice. The stated price does not include the lot price or the auction house fees.
