Jean Gabriel Domergue (1889–1962) – Monte Carlo. 1949. Imprimerie Nationale Monaco. 98 x 62.5 cm. Original poster, offset print, mounted on canvas. Condition A–: a small tear in the corner of the lower left margin. To promote tourism in Monaco, and more specifically in Monte Carlo, Domergue captures the sunshine of the French Riviera by depicting not Brigitte Bardot, but his model at the time, Nadine Lhopitalier—the future Nadine de Rothschild. A daring and erotic poster, as she is wearing only the bottom half of her swimsuit while sitting at the edge of a pool!
