Auction ended

Henri MICHAUX. Parcours. Paris, Le Point Cardinal, [1966]. Folio-sized suite, in loose sheets, in the publisher’s brown cloth slipcase with a title label affixed to the top flap. First edition with a preface by René Bertelé. Limited edition of 70 copies, numbered and signed by Jean Hugues (no. 35). A suite of 12 original black etchings by Henri Michaux, all numbered and signed. “As with *Mouvements* back in 1951, it was Bertelé who had the idea of organizing these plates—engraved by Michaux in 1965 (as he notes in his introductory text)—into a unique book or portfolio, and of proposing to Jean Hugues, Michaux’s gallerist, that they also mount an exhibition of them” (Pléiade II, p. 1584).
