A friend of Jean Paulhan, André Rolland de Renéville (1903–1962) was associated with René Daumal and the Grand Jeu. He was among the friends and “great readers” of Henri Michaux: Michaux recommended him to the NRF in 1932 to review *Un certain Plume* in place of Michel Leiris, whom Paulhan had proposed but whom Michaux did not know. Superb hinged binding by Antonio Perez-Noriega.
