First edition. Limited edition of 500 copies: one of 15 publisher’s proofs on Arches vellum, signed by the publisher and the author (no. 2). Beautiful original etching by Joseph Sima as the frontispiece. Remarkable contemporary binding by Georges Leroux, with a piece of quartz set into the front cover.
