Marcel Duchamp’s “window,” mentioned in the title and titled *La bagarre d’Austerlitz*, consists of two glossy paper sheets reproducing, in imitation form, the two sides of a window—one in color, the other in black, with the windowpane openings cut out: glued together, they enclose a sheet of white-printed Rhodoid serving as the windowpanes. (Coron, Les Éditions GLM, bibliography, 1981, no. 80.) Limited edition of 70 copies on tinted Normandy vellum, signed by the publisher, plus a few non-commercial copies (no. 9). A beautiful copy preserved as published.
