Till Warwas, a master student of Klaus Fußmann, belongs to the artist group “North German Realists” and works primarily in plein air painting. Above a low horizon, the sky—in glazed blues and violets—takes up most of the painting and is reflected in the calm waters of the Hamme. A group of dark-green trees on the left provides a contrast to the lighter shrubs on the right, which fade into the distance.
