Ettore Spalletti (Italian, 1940-2019) Coppa - 1994 Painted alabaster 15,5 x 50 Ø cm Provenance: Galleria Massimo Minini, Brescia The Robert and Suzanne Pannier Collection, Bruges This work is registered in the archives of the Fondazione Ettore Spalletti under n° ES O 94024. With a photocertificate by Patrizia Leonelli Spalletti, dated 11 December 2025. In Coppa, Spalletti explores the subtle interaction between colour and material through the contrast between the painted surface and the softly translucent body of the alabaster. Applied to the exterior of the solid volume, the pale blue pigment appears to seep inward along the upper edges, creating the impression that the colour has slowly entered the stone itself.
