Auction house presentation

Bonino is an auction house founded by a family of drawing collectors who have been clients of major international auction houses—both as sellers and buyers—for decades.

It owns the *Gioielli di Carta* brand.

The firm was conceived to meet the demands of discerning collectors navigating the market: expertise, speed, access to international buyers, and transparent, competitive financial terms. Every day, we ask ourselves—even regarding the smallest details or new developments—whether our work would satisfy us as clients and whether it measures up to the best service offered by our top competitors, both in Italy and abroad.

Our approach can be summarized as follows: treating every object as a unique piece worthy of thorough study, and every client as an individual with specific needs. We operate more like a high-end tailor shop than a ready-to-wear fashion house.

Since 1998, we have brokered the sale of art and antiques, and since 2009, we have managed auctions across a wide range of fields—from Old Master paintings and archaeology to jewelry—achieving turnover of up to €5 million per event.

We are structured into 42 departments and 230 areas of specialization, supported by a network of over 100 collaborators in Italy, staff in four countries (Italy, Denmark, Pakistan, and Romania), and in-house offices dedicated to our key business sectors.

Thanks to an extensive network of partnerships with leading players in the luxury market, we have set numerous auction records. We have outperformed some international auction houses, even with works by exceptional artists such as Albrecht Dürer, Marc Chagall, and Lucio Fontana.

By employing innovative sales systems, we have achieved sell-through rates as high as 99.1%.

We also possess specialized expertise in managing court-ordered sales, a sector that demands exceptionally high standards of efficiency and transparency. Over the past two years, we have handled some of the most complex cases in Italy, starting with the vast collection of Vincenzo Maria Angelini. The protocols we implemented have been hailed as models of transparency and the first to successfully reconcile legal requirements with international market standards (as noted by *Repubblica*, *Milano Finanza*, *Giornale dell’Arte*, *La Stampa*, etc.).

We strive to be everything you would want from an auction house : )
