Hammer Auktionen AG

Hammer Auktionen – Auction House in Basel

Hammer Auktionen is a family-run auction house based in Basel, specialising in African and non-European art.

For more than ten years, we have organised auctions for collectors, art enthusiasts and professionals from around the world. During this time, nearly 30,000 objects have found new owners through our sales.

We hold an average of 15 to 20 live-streamed online auctions each year. Our auctions feature carefully selected works of art and collectable objects, presented in a clear, transparent and contemporary way.

Our aim is to make the world of auctions more modern, accessible and engaging, while remaining true to the essential values of our profession: expertise, reliability, trust and personal service.

At Hammer Auktionen, personal contact is at the heart of what we do. We support both buyers and consignors with care and individual attention before, during and after every auction.

From our base in Basel, and through our internationally accessible online auctions, we seek to challenge the traditional image of the auction world and offer a professional, straightforward and exciting auction experience.
