Two female auctioneers, business partners and friends, who were determined to offer auctions tailored to their clients’ needs.

This is how Salomé Pirson and Marie-Laurence Tixier founded Maurice Auction in 2022, placing attentiveness and service at the heart of everything they do.

With over 30 years’ combined experience in the art market, Maurice Auction did not come out of nowhere. Above all, it is a firm of experts, dedicated to its clients, providing a personalised and bespoke service to each and every one of them, every single time. Maurice Auction owes its name to the famous auctioneer and member of the Académie Française, Maurice Rheims,

a great visionary and man of letters. He modernised the art market over the course of the last century and clearly inspired Marie-Laurence and Salomé in their journey and entrepreneurial venture.

It was only natural that his name should come to shape the two founders’ project,

both as a living tribute and as a good-luck charm.
