[BAYERN – LUITPOLD, PRINZREGENT (1886–1912)] Goldmedaille im Wert von 12 Dukaten, die anlässlich der Bayerischen Industrie-, Handwerks- und Kunstausstellung in Nürnberg 1896 als erster Preis an die Aussteller verliehen wurde. Gewicht: 40,4 g. Durchmesser: 39 mm. Die Medaille wurde 1896 von Alois Börsch und Anton Scharff gestaltet. - Vorderseite: Nach links gewandte Büste des Prinzregenten Luitpold. Im unteren Teil der umlaufenden Inschrift ist ein liegendes Zepter abgebildet, umgeben von einem nach rechts gerichteten Olivenzweig. Umlaufende Inschrift: „PRINZ . LUITPOLD . DES . KÖNIGREICHS . BAYERN . VERWESER“ (Prinz Luitpold, Regent des Königreichs Bayern). - Rückseite: Eine weibliche Allegorie der Stadt, die auf einem mit dem Staatswappen verzierten Thron sitzt und nach links blickt, überreicht einem knienden Handwerker, der einen Hammer und ein Zahnrad hält, einen Lorbeerkranz. Links trägt ein Putto ebenfalls einen Lorbeerkranz, während verschiedene Kunstgegenstände die Mitte der Komposition einnehmen. Im Hintergrund ist das Ausstellungsgebäude zu sehen. Ringförmige Inschrift: „BAYER . LANDES- INDUSTRIE- GEWERBE- U. KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG . NÜRNBERG 1896“ (Bayerische Landesausstellung für Industrie, Handwerk und bildende Kunst, Nürnberg 1896).
