[HOLZSTICH]. Holzstempel. Das Siegel von Nicolas Ruffo. Holzstempel, der das Siegel von Nicolas Ruffo darstellt, einer bedeutenden Persönlichkeit des italienisch-normannischen Adels und Vizekönig von Kalabrien im 14. Jahrhundert. Auf Holz montierte Matrize (90 x 75 mm), handgeschriebene Beschriftung in schwarzer Tinte auf einem auf der Rückseite aufgeklebten Etikett. Leichte Kratzer. Schöne Holzstempelplatte, die das Siegel von Nicolas Ruffo (1362–1434), Markgraf von Kalabrien, darstellt, der seines Amtes als Vizekönig von Kalabrien enthoben wurde, weil er sich der Partei Ludwigs von Anjou angeschlossen hatte, und nach Frankreich floh. Darauf ist ein geneigter Schild zu sehen, überragt von einem Wappenhelm in Form eines Pferdekopfes; das Ganze ist von einem Medaillon umgeben, das mit der in gotischen Schriftzeichen eingravierten Inschrift verziert ist. In gutem Zustand.
