DE WET Jacob Willemsz (Haarlem, um 1610 – 1671) – Amarillys krönt Mirtil. Öl auf Leinwand. Höhe: 102 cm – Breite: 92 cm. Das Motiv stammt aus dem „Pastor Fido“ von Giovanni Battista Guarini (1590, 2. Akt, 1. Szene). Beim Kusswettbewerb, den die Gefährtinnen der Nymphe Amaryllis veranstalten, nimmt ihr Geliebter Mirtil als Frau verkleidet teil, um nicht erkannt zu werden. Als Sieger der Prüfung wird er von der Heldin gekrönt. Jacob de Wet malte mehrere Versionen dieser Komposition mit leichten Abweichungen im Laubwerk oder in der Anordnung des Stilllebens (Amsterdam, Sotheby’s, 16.
